So yet another baby gift to make. This one is for my sweet friends Erin and Chris, who I miss sooo much, since we've moved! I miss them now even more that they have a sweet little pumpkin, Kinsey!
Sweet little babies changes so much from day to day so I wanted to make something that could change with the whims of a new baby! Some days, she will rise early and other days she will be a little night owl so here is Kinsey's onesies!
These are a combination of freezer paper screen printing and applique. I am so proud of how they turned out!
Here is a quick run down...
Freezer stencil/screen print
Helpful hint - a pair of tiny tweezers help to pick up tiny pieces of freezer paper inside lettering.
Getting my applique pieces ready.
Iron them in place!
Straight stitch applique around the edges
Don't forget the wings!
Repeated the entire process for the night owl shirt
Cock a Doodle Cute! (How cute would this gift be for a set of twins?! - Darling!)
Special shout out to Mr. Cookie for helping me with my rooster images trouble! Love you!
Thanks to my sweet friend Jennie for letting me raid her scrap fabric for my inspiration!
Erin and Chris, we love you guys and are so happy for you! Hopefully it won't be too long before we get to give Kinsey a snuggle in person!
Hope you enjoyed!
Love,
Cookie and Claire

Oh my goodness, you did such a great job on these. My school's mascot is an owl...I now want to make a big girl t-shirt with the owl on it...for myself!!
Thanks Jen! You love the owl but I am more partial to the rooster However I am not an early bird!

Would love for you to stop by and share this at the Tuesday To Do Party if you get a chance!

I love, love, love these! I have also been experimenting with freezer paper and applique and have been sharing on my blog. Check it out if you like! I posted a bleached out freezer paper tee last week, and I hope to post some applique tanks next week. Mine are super simple and not nearly as complicated and "cool" as yours. Your project just inspired me to keep going!!!
They are just adorable! Brilliant!
